Astamur's feedback about Arina (Beginner English tuition near Cambridge)
Arina is a great tutor! Our son (9 y/o) is always happy during and after lessons and always motivated to learn English. Arina found an approach to work with our son. She always has interesting materials and gives home work (as much as you want). Thank you for your help! Happy to continue our lessons.
Colin's feedback about Sara (Advanced German tuition near Cambridge)
I'm an academic in my sixties. I wanted to revive my German after decades of not using it after living in Germany and Austria, it had deteriorated to B2 minus I think. So I joined an online course during Covid and began more or less weekly sessions online with Sara. Sara had been more used to tutoring children in German but adapted quickly and accurately to me and our sessions were very productive. Her lessons have been a tremendous help to me, we typically would go through texts and exercises at B2 and C1, and had interesting and entertaining conversations about our interests and things going on in the world. I found that I looked forward to the lessons and prepared for them as we set out. Sara is always encouraging but importantly does correct my important mistakes. On a personal level Sara is very interesting, reliable, hard working and kind person. with a fine sense of humour I've taken a break from my German at the moment as I'm busy with other things but I look forward very much to restarting our lessons soon. I can recommend Sara to you wholeheartedly.
Ingrid's feedback about Ai (Beginner Japanese tuition near Cambridge)
I have been taking weekly lessons for nearly three months now and highly recommend Ai to anyone wanting to learn Japanese. Ai is a wonderful teacher; she is patient and thoughtful, and does a great job at pacing lessons so that they are just the right level of challenge. She makes use of various different learning resources which have been extremely helpful, and the homework is perfect for consolidating each session's learning topics. The lessons help students make consistent progress in every aspect of language learning (writing, typing, reading, speaking, vocabulary acquisition, kanji practice, etc.) and Ai is brilliant at helping students put everything together. I've studied Japanese on and off on my own for a time using different self-study resources, but I find these lessons are helping me progress much faster than I ever could on my own. They have also immensely helped my confidence with speaking. I also really appreciate how Ai often shares insights into Japanese that one wouldn't get from a textbook (like, for example the subtle nuances of two different 'correct' ways of saying something). Because of Ai's thoughtful, flexible approach to teaching, I imagine she would be a fantastic teacher no matter what one's motivation for learning Japanese or level of experience. I recommend her whole-heartedly and plan to continue studying with her indefinitely.
Ben's feedback about Caroline (Intermediate French tuition near Cambridge)
I've been having French lessons once a week for two or three months now with Caroline, so I think it's time I provided some feedback! Without a doubt she has made a huge difference to my French. Every lesson is completely bespoke as is any homework. She sets me an assignment and depending on how I do, the next lesson focuses on my immediate weaknesses / knowledge gaps. I really like this targeted approach, we're not following a generic teaching plan, the teaching plan is 100% structured around my strengths and weaknesses (mainly weaknesses in my case). She has introduced me to lots of internet resources for home study and recommended many French TV series on Netflix, C4 etc. If I get stuck, I can ping her a WhatsApp message and get a response the same day (or next day if it's late), something I don't expect as I'm only paying for a one hour lesson a week. I really enjoy my lessons and plan to continue having them with Caroline for a long time (unless she gets bored of me first). My only reservation is that, being French, she is very proud of her language and no mistake will go uncommented! So you have to be able to accept that no matter how hard you try and how perfect you think your work is, it will come back with numerous mistakes highlighted! However, that's just part of the learning process, it was just a bit of a shock as I've not had any homework marked for over 30 years until now.
Gill's feedback about Anchal (Intermediate Hindi tuition near Cambridge)

Gnanasundari's feedback about Piriyatharsini (Beginner Tamil tuition near Cambridge)
Very kind and friendly. My son is most likely to have lessons with her. I am also happy to have this teacher.
Arpan's feedback about Ai (Beginner Japanese tuition near Cambridge)
Ai has been really helpful with learning Japanese. We go through topics e.g. verb conjugation, where she thoroughly explains how it works. Afterwards, we would practice using the techniques learnt by having short conversations. By doing this, not only do I learn how sentences work, I get first hand experience by using them in short conversations, which has really helped in not only retain the techniques but also improved my confidence with speaking in Japanese. Ai also sets out regular homework on the content learnt and uses bits learnt from other previous lessons to further cement my understanding. So far, I am enjoying studying Japanese under Ai's guidance and look forward to continue improving!
