My name is Priya. I am a qualified Doctor. The teaching has always been my passion. I was born in Srilanka and I studied in Tamil till my 18, then I came to UK. I have studied Tamil literature and language in Srilanka. I have been teaching my mother tongue Tamil for 9 years to varies years group and different countries' students.

From Andrew (/5): After learning Tamil for a few months my breakthrough came after my first lesson with Priya. Priya understands my current level, lessons are challenging and informative. Like any good teacher, Priya takes a personal interest in your progression and often says she is 'feeling proud' when it's clear that progress has been made. I have noticed that since starting my lessons with Priya my Tamil has improved a lot and I look forward to (hopefully) continuing this progression.

From Jeremy (/5): Priya is a proper teacher. She has resources and a clear scheme of work that we follow. I feel like she works me really hard (in a good way), but is always so positive even when I make mistakes. Our lessons are well-structured and are balanced in terms of learning new vocabulary, understanding grammar and forming sentences. I would recommend Priya to anyone wishing to learn Tamil.

From Mathu (/5): Priya has been teaching my daughter Tamil over the last four weeks and she has been amazing! She has really encouraged her to learn our mother language, My 10 year old daughter who didn’t know any Tamil, now can count to 20, is learning the alphabet and can speak basic sentences, all in just a month! Priya has a great positive attitude and a bubbly manner which inspires her students.

She's passionate about teaching Tamil, encouraging in lessons and caters them to your needs. Although Tamil is a difficult language, she breaks it down in a way so it is easier to learn and I feel like we have progressed a lot in a short space of time. Also very friendly and open minded teacher so I highly recommend her :)

From Catherine (/5): Highly recommend! I started learning Tamil from scratch with Priya about a month ago, I was excited to start but prepared for it being very difficult for me to learn. Thanks to Priya, it's going much better than I ever expected and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! The lessons are set to suit my pace and the content is flexible if I want to learn about something in particular. Priya is supportive, friendly and fun to learn with, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her as a tutor.
