I'm an academic in my sixties. I wanted to revive my German after decades of not using it after living in Germany and Austria, it had deteriorated to B2 minus I think. So I joined an online course during Covid and began more or less weekly sessions online with Sara. Sara had been more used to tutoring children in German but adapted quickly and accurately to me and our sessions were very productive. Her lessons have been a tremendous help to me, we typically would go through texts and exercises at B2 and C1, and had interesting and entertaining conversations about our interests and things going on in the world. I found that I looked forward to the lessons and prepared for them as we set out. Sara is always encouraging but importantly does correct my important mistakes. On a personal level Sara is very interesting, reliable, hard working and kind person. with a fine sense of humour I've taken a break from my German at the moment as I'm busy with other things but I look forward very much to restarting our lessons soon. I can recommend Sara to you wholeheartedly.

Mandy is a brilliant teacher. My boys aged 9 and 11 always look forward to their lessons with her. She uses a variety of teaching methods which really grab the chikdren’s attention. Our two children (7 and 9) have been learning German with Mandy for three months. Neither could speak any German when they started, and we're very impressed with what we see in terms of the progress they've made. We're also very impressed with Mandy's teaching. There is plenty of homework but it is usually made fun (practical questions and answers; online quizzes) and the children absolutely love their lessons. I'm particularly impressed with the way Mandy knows how to get the best out of both of them, especially as the two children have such different learning styles. We would definitely highly recommend her to anyone looking for a German tutor for their children.

Friendly and supportive in approach. Prepared to be flexible with contact times so enabling conflicting commitments to be met. Explanations of grammar and technical matters clear and straight forward. Open to ideas for topics from the student. After some weeks I have to say that while the quality of teaching is good there can be problems around consistency of availability. This may well have been the result of temporary difficulties so I would urge anyone interested to give Mr a try.
