I am pleased that I have asked Viviane to help me with my French. My written French standard is somewhere between GCSE level and A level but I struggle with speaking the language at the same level. We meet for 1 hour via Skype on a weekly basis. Viviane conducts almost the whole session in French and corrects my errors as we go along. Occasionally, between classes, she will send me some information or links to information that will assist me with a subject that I had problems with in the previous class which reflects her professional approach. Finally, Viviane has a very pleasant demeanour which makes the hour enjoyable.

Sophie is an excellent teacher of French. I find our lessons together enjoyable and interesting. Each lesson begins with conversation between us in French, before we go on to undertake more structured exercises in communication and grammar. By mutual agreement, Sophie sets homework assignments which I can undertake in advance of the following lesson, and her feedback on my work is very helpful. The Skype application is an ideal medium for the online lessons: the quality of the audio and video communication is very good, and it is easy to exchange and share resources to support the lesson and to aid further study. Most importantly, it allows me to have lessons with a native French speaker, which is very beneficial.
