Jane's feedback about Michael (Casual Clarinet tuition near Sale)
As an adult returning to playing the clarinet about 20 years after my last lesson at school, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was nervous about playing in front of somebody at all, let alone a teacher but I knew I needed guidance. I've had a couple of lessons with Michael now and he immediately put me at ease. I was surprised how comfortable and enjoyable I found it as we worked through a little sight reading together. He's been really encouraging and has helped me to work on my tone, remembering the joy of making music not just playing the right notes at the right time. I'm looking forward to making progress and finding a way to make playing a pleasure for many years to come. Update: After a year of lessons with Michael I'm so pleased with how far my playing has progressed. I'm really enjoying learning. Michael clearly enjoys teaching. He is really great at encouraging me to reach towards a higher standard than I think possible, being supportive when I've worked hard but struggled and knowing the difference. Back in March, I found adapting to the covid lockdown difficult at first and that showed through in my playing. Michael was patient and empathetic. He reminded me to be kind to myself, learning remotely at a difficult time. That advice really helped me, not just in getting back in getting back on track, which I have, but in my working life too. I really want to extend my thanks to Michael for everything over the last year and I'm still excited about what we can achieve in the future.
Allison's feedback about Laura (Casual Clarinet tuition near Newport)
I have had 3 lessons with Laura to date and feel I have made some real progress already. Laura achieves the right balance of challenging you whilst offering support and encouragement. Due to the lockdown, lessons have been via Zoom but despite this, Laura is still able to pick up even the smallest details and offer advice. Can’t recommend her highly enough.
Stu's feedback about James (Casual Clarinet tuition near Alton)
Jamie has a very relaxed but nonetheless professional manner and with the important good sense of humour. Very good first lesson that discovered just how bad I am after 40 years of not playing the clarinet. Jamie was enthusiastic and not in the least daunted by the challenge of teaching me which says a lot for the man!! Set me some nice but challenging targets and goals for our next Zoom session and I fully intend to have a lesson each week.
Fiona's feedback about Ruaridh (Casual Clarinet tuition near Hamilton)

Amy, I just wanted to say that you have helped this older, very late starter no end! You have helped to build my confidence, always encouraging and affirming while also keeping me up to the mark! I am enjoying my lessons, my practice, my playing! Thank you. Lesley
Kathi's feedback about Amanda (Casual Clarinet tuition near Worcester)
Very encouraging and patient. Enables learning in a relaxed environment.
Valerie's feedback about Kirsty (Casual Clarinet tuition near Barnet)
Kirsty is a great tutor and is helping me brush up my clarinet skills (I learnt at school but hadn't played for decades!) I'm really enjoying getting back into it : Kirsty gives just the right balance of challenge and encouragement and has helped me a lot already. I would definitely recommend her to others.
Heather's feedback about Annabel (Casual Clarinet tuition near Barnsley)
Annabel has been wonderful. She's been very flexible with our lessons, agreeing to teach over Skype and being very gracious about the difficulties that poses. In just a few lessons I've become much more aware of my weaknesses and how to correct them, and have seen a huge improvement in my playing and confidence. Annabel explains things clearly and directs the lessons to the areas I need to work on. The pieces or exercises she asks me to practice between lessons are always helpful for improvement and relevant to what I've been working on before. I am so pleased to have found Annabel to teach me clarinet, and am excited about further improvement as our lessons continue.
Jesse's feedback about Ellen (Casual Clarinet tuition near Sale)
I would like to say that I couldn't be happier with Ellen's clarinet tuition. She is professional, friendly and has made my introductory lessons to the clarinet very fun. She has been flexible in scheduling the lessons which has also been very helpful. I think with Ellen's knowledge and experience with the clarinet she could teach anyone of any level of ability.
