I studied for about half a year with Tian and was very impressed by her tutoring ability. In the time before I could no longer continue lessons, Tian covered many topics which she had planned for each week, whilst always asking me if I had any requests for topic ideas (I just let her choose and they were great). I am a British person with no previous experience of learning Chinese, but was never made to feel uncomfortable and was introduced in the appropriate manner to the language. Aside from the great lessons, Tian is a great person with a good sense of humour. If I find the time somehow, I will be restarting lessons when I can. I definitely recommend - 谢谢!

Xiao is a great teacher who is friendly and approachable. She is very good at gauging your ability in conversation and listening skills, so that she reinforces what you already know but then builds on this with new vocabulary. The lessons are structured with us following a book and game websites are also used to test your Mandarin.

I have been taking classes with Chao since December 2020 and I would 100% recommend her. She is one of the best language teachers I have ever had. She is always incredibly prepared and completely tailors her classes to my level and interests - ensuring that I get a balance between reading, listening, speaking and writing. She clearly loves what she does and she feeds that into every lesson. She's strikes the perfect balance between encouraging me but also challenging me with content of a higher level. Over the past few months, we've noticed that my listening level needs improving so we have been focussing on that in class and she's been so supportive both inside and outside my class in helping me get better. She is really fantastic. I would definitely recommend her for all Chinese levels.
