Xiaohan is a very good teacher. Her experience and expertise is clear. She is not prone to error. She understands even the smallest differences between correct and incorrect pronunciation and is experienced enough to provide guidance and methods to correct you. Lessons are at a steady pace, however you can choose whether to skip, slow down, to move on or move faster depending on your current abilities. You will make silly mistakes as a beginner but Xiaohan will be patient. She tries to make lessons as engaging as possible, letting you take the lead when you feel like it. She has not failed at answering any questions or inquiries I have given. She enjoys teaching Mandarin and Chinese history. I was also late for lesson one time. Xiaohan said no problem and was fine to book me in later in the day and move on. A very nice thing to do as I look forward to our lessons each time.

Jun is a very patient, kind and supportive teacher. She is always happy to answer any questions, giving both cultural context and understanding key language and cultural differences between England and China - which, as a beginner, is more relevant than you might think! Jun has provided me with a thorough grounding in speaking Mandarin and writing Chinese characters, starting from scratch. We have weekly lessons at a fixed time, however, she is flexible when I cannot make it, even on short notice, which I greatly appreciate. We are currently aiming for me to acquire the HSK 1 qualification and are making good and steady progress towards doing so.
