Glen's feedback about Jacqueline (Casual Cello tuition near Ashton-under-Lyne)
With trepidation and worries galore, With a soupcon of courage, I knocked on the door. What would she be like? would I embarrass myself? Returning to lessons, is it bad for my health? I was greeted with warmth, a big beaming smile, Positivism and patience, yes it was all worthwhile. A rekindled dream, Jac said I am not tone-deaf. I can’t wait for next week, it may be tenor clef.
Rob's feedback about Humphry (Casual Cello tuition near Maidstone)
I have had 3 lessons now over the past month or so. I found Humphry though this website which was great as I had no idea how to find a cello teacher locally. As an adult returning to the Cello I needed some help setting up my old neglected instrument and was low in confidence. Humphry immediately put me at ease and has inspired me to push myself and play with a new confidence. Lessons are relaxed with an emphasis on enjoyment and exploration of technique. I have had many instrumental lessons over the years where I have felt like I was on a conveyor belt of students, but it is the exact opposite with Humphry. I have not met anyone with so much passion, knowledge, enthusiasm for their instrument and willing to helping others to get the most from their playing. Humphry has set up my old cello so that it sounds better and is easier to play than it ever was. He has also helped me to select a new bow to maximise the sound and quality of my playing. He is knowledgable not only in the playing and teaching of the instrument but also the setting up and manufacturing if the relevant parts which has an extra layer to the teacher/ pupil experience.
Lorraine's feedback about Timothy (Casual Cello tuition near Tavistock)
