Hello, I am a fully-qualified and experienced Russian as a foreign language teacher based in Scotland. Russian is my native language and I will be happy to assist you in learning it.
I am originally from Moscow, Russia. In 2016 I moved to Scotland due to personal reasons. I live in Dunfermline, but I am more than happy to offer lessons in Edinburgh, Fife and online as well.
I love reading and languages. I speak English and Scots Leid. I am also learning Scottish Gaelic and I used to learn German. I'd like to learn Welsh, Irish, Polish, Ukrainian and Norwegian. My other interests are: art, music, design, cooking, handmade, photography, collecting and IT.
Thank you so much for being interested in the Russian language. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or enquiries.
I hold a bachelor with honours degree in Linguistics (Theory and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages and Cultures) from Moscow State Pedagogical (Teacher Training) University (2016). I have also received a certificate from Moscow State University Russian Language Centre (2017), qualifying as a teacher of Russian as a foreign language.
I have been teaching languages for more than 5 years. I am proud to say that I am truly passionate about my profession and what I do. Prior to moving to the UK, I was teaching English. I also have experience in preparing students for examinations at the University of Edinburgh.
I try to advance in my profession, constantly improving my materials, skills, methods, techniques and knowledge. I make my own materials, flashcards and exercises. I also dedicate a fair amount of time to learning new methods, techniques and self-improving.

Place. I can offer one-to-one Russian language lessons in Dunfermline and online tutoring (**Contact Detail Removed**, Discord and other means of communication) as well.

My principles and goals as a teacher:
Friendly and healthy environment during the lessons.

Interesting and engaging lessons with a variety of activities.
Dedicating some to speaking during every lesson, gradually moving towards speaking Russian only.
Focusing not only on grammar and vocabulary, but also on pronunciation skills.
Teaching how the language works, providing in-depth understanding of its system and rules in a simple way.
Using a combination of traditional and modern materials and ways of learning.
Teaching how to think in the language spoken.
Providing my students with information about Russia and our culture and traditions.
