I have graduated from the London School of Economics (LSE) in Maths and Economics with a First Class Honours. I completed Maths and Further Maths at A-Levels achieving A* in both subjects as well as scoring 98% and 100% in the core maths modules in A2.
I currently tutor students 1-1 in Maths at all levels and my students have progressed enormously since the start of their tuition, some of which are now scoring the top of their class. I was also recommended by my school to work at a Kumon centre teaching Maths and English to students of all ages and abilities where I was responsible for a group of 10 students.
I like my students to feel comfortable and not be afraid of asking any type of questions. I like to understand how the students prefer to be taught, to do this I try alternative ways and see which one suits them best. I like to keep my sessions very interactive by explaining the methods and going through some examples and then giving the students some questions to attempt themselves. I then go through their working out and reasoning, if they are unsure then I will go through the questions with them. If we do not cover everything that we want to in the session then I will ask the student to complete the remainder as homework. I am also available to respond to my students outside of tuition hours if they need any help on their homework. I have received positive feedback from my students regarding the process I follow and believe it is the most effective way to teach maths.
