English (Foreign Language)
I am British nationality, a mother tongue English speaker and experienced language teacher.
Spanish - I teach Spanish at all levels, from beginners to advanced. I teach the language for functional purposes as well as exam preparation. I can teach children and adults.
English as a foreign language - I teach English at all levels, one to one or in small or large groups. I teach both general English and English for special purposes, for example for work or study purposes.
I use a communicative style in my language teaching. This means even at the most basic level my students are using the language to communicate and developing skills of speaking and listening.
I am a qualified and experienced language teacher working with adults.
I gained the Cambridge English Language Training to Adults (CELTA) qualification in January 2007. Since then I have worked for 3 years as an English teacher, with jobs in Slovakia and Germany. There I taught business English to students in companies, normally on a one to one basis. On the other hand I have also taught groups in an evening class setting. As well as my work overseas I have worked at English summer schools where I taught larger groups of students.
I am now using my knowledge and experience of teaching methods combined with my extensive Spanish background to move into teaching Spanish.
All students have different needs and learning styles. I have a flexible approach and adapt my teaching methods to students’ circumstances. I can teach all levels, from absolute beginners to those who want to revise grammar for exam purposes. I can help you if you want Spanish simply to get more out of your holiday or if you want to make small talk with Spanish speaking business colleagues. I am a student of languages as well as a teacher so I know how hard learning a language can be. I have the patience to adapt the pace of lessons and to recap points whenever necessary. I also use a mix of activities so students get the chance to speak, listen, read and write in the new language. I aim to provide a learning experience which is both useful and enjoyable and where students will feel a sense of acheivement.

I was particularly impressed with her overall manner she has given me great confidence that I will be able to achieve my objectives with her guidance.
The first tutorial will be next Thursday 25th Feb.
I hope to contact her within the next few days.
