As a recent graduate from Imperial College London with an MSci in Mathematics (First Class Hons), I bring a wealth of experience in grappling with challenging concepts and translating them to be easily comprehensible. My enthusiasm for teaching, coupled with a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of dedicated effort, fuels my passion for guiding students towards confidence and exceptional success.

Tutoring Experience

Since 2016, I've had the privilege of guiding numerous students with varying backgrounds and skill levels, including primary school-aged children. Drawing from my experience as an au pair, I've honed the skills of flexibility and patience, which are crucial for creating a nurturing learning environment. My interaction with younger learners has further strengthened my ability to connect and engage with them effectively.

In addition to primary school tutoring, I've ventured into mentoring and tutoring older students as well. Specifically, I've delved into guiding 16-18-year-olds in the Problem Solving Maths (PSM) realm, a component critical for the Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT). This experience has equipped me to tackle intricate questions and concepts, ensuring that even the most challenging material is approached with confidence and clarity.

I'm proud to note that my dedication to tutoring has resulted in remarkable improvements for my students. I've witnessed transformations from C grades to A* at both GCSE and A-level examinations. Moreover, I've had the privilege of supporting students in gaining admission to prestigious schools such as Latymer, SPGS, Christ's Hospital etc., a testament to the effectiveness of my teaching methods.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching method is very flexible; I often employ several methods of explaining a concept so that my students understand it in depth. Different styles of teaching suit different types of students, and I always endeavour to find the one that works best. I encourage enjoyment of the subject - this comes hand-in-hand with a strong grasp of the content, facilitating excellent exam technique.

I teach online with an interactive whiteboard that is easy and free for students to use.
