Bloomsbury Tutor

Maths is my second language, if not the first! With a first class honours degree from Edinburgh University, I further studied maths at Cambridge to master level.

Now I am running a startup in London. I keep on tutoring during my spare time, because I like to share my insights on scientific subjects, and glad to help students to build their confidence in studies. Moreover, I do believe tutoring is a two way communications, and I have learnt a lot from my students as well. They span from GCSE to my classmates at uni , all the way up to graduate students from Imperial College. Best of all, I became friends with them after tutoring.

Moreover, I have been involved in a charity project on education, and I would like to build my experience in this area regardless what my day job is.

By the way, if you want to try Mandarin, I am more than happy to help:)

Tutoring Experience

I believe tutoring is a two way communication, and I have learnt a lot from my students as well. They span from GCSE to my classmates at uni , all the way up to graduate students from Imperial College. Best of all, I became friends with them after tutoring.

The whole learning process is structured and organised. Thirdly, when specific questions are discussed, in addition to cover the general points, I would emphize the points that he/she is struggling with. And always try to guide student’s thought process so that they can think of the solutions independently thereafter. Last but not least, when I summerize a subject, I would always try to link the syllabus in a more intuitive way, so that students will be more comfortable and confident with the subject.

Tutoring Approach

1) Not only do I know how, but I fully grasped why as well.

2) I would first and foremost try to understand student’s difficulties and objectives out of the tuitions. And then propose a bespoke tuition outline for the student to agree, so that the whole learning process is structured and organised.
