I've been teaching and tutoring science to both young people and adults for over 7 years and have been fortunate enough to work in a number of learning environments. I am currently Head of Science small school in West Sussex where I have the pleasure of working with young people of all abilities and circumstance; from A* students to those who typically struggle to engage with school. More recently I have undertaken a science liaison position for community based tutoring in West Sussex, providing expertise, teaching and learning guidance and recommendations for medically supported young people in West Sussex.

I aim to make science as fun and interesting as possible; it's an incredibly exciting and far-reaching subject to teach. I have an easygoing and thoughtful demeanor with a high level of awareness to meet the needs of those I'm working with. I love the challenge of creating tailored ways to explain and demonstrate scientific concepts.

I acknowledge every tutee as an individual and I consider it a privilege to engage with each one in a positive and beneficial way. Here is a comment from the parent of a GCSE Triple Science student 2018:

"My son J liked Will from the beginning. Will is warm, sincere, friendly and interested. J had failed all his end of year 10 mocks and his confidence was very low. We had engaged Will's help with tutoring to help him get through the GCSE year.
He had no trouble engaging J's interest and enthusiasm and J always worked hard with Will. If Will set J revision tasks he would usually do them, when he wasn't willing to do much revision under any other circumstances. Will mentioned that he thought J might be dyslexic. He was tested at school, and Will was right.
He was always calm, professional and hard working and that rubbed off on J. He remained calm, and pragmatic and positive as the anxiety of the GCSE's escalated and although J maintained he knew nothing about physics in the few weeks left before the exams and expected to fail, Will was very relaxed but firm and J passed all his science subjects successfully.
I recommend Will very highly."
