Hi! I’m Wenna and I am a qualified teacher and head of Maths in a secondary school in London. I have been teaching for 10 years and have strong knowledge of the maths curriculum to GCSE level. I ensure all my lessons are tailored to meet the needs and ability of each student, while making learning as fun and engaging as possible. I focus on building students confidence and finding a love of maths to help them to reach their full potential. I have experience with mainstream students and students with special educational needs.
I currently have availability for face to face and online lessons on weekday afternoons,Friday day time for home schooled students and a Sunday morning online.
I am happy to tutor online, at my home or your home.
I have been teaching Maths for tens years and for the last 5 years I have been Head of Department where we recently achieved an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted.
I teach students of all ability including students with special needs.
I have tutored a range of students in the pass and had great success in building confidence, deepening knowledge and students to move up ability groups, achieving great GCSE results.
I have a range of teaching approaches but will always aim to make my lessons engaging and fun as possible as this is the best way children learn. I model all examples until students are secure in carrying out work independently. I scaffold learning and build upon previous knowledge, also assessing to bridge the gap if there are any struggles a student may have.
