A native Mandarin speaker who have lived in the UK for 15 years.
Gained teaching Certificate in University in China and taught Mandarin as second language for foreigners (MSFL) in Beijing.
I am Bi-lingual and teaching is my life-long ambition.
My first experience was in China where I had tutored a group of foreigners who came from different language background to learn Mandarin from beginner to intermediate level.
After I came to the UK, I had worked as a part time Teacher Assistant in Math Department of a Primary School in London while gained my accountant qualification.
My approach is to tailor the lessons for students/learners needs which means that the approach is different for each of the learners. There are so many ways of learning a language, but I would customize a way that best fit for individual learner rather than simply the standard way.
My lesson are very interactive which would eventually help people to build up confidence to use Mandarin to communication. With emphasis to understand the culture as well the way the express self which could achieve conversation prediction and hence to boost up the confidence as well as treat the learning as a fun experience.
For examination, good result will to the short term target, which I would to adopt a method to maximize the practice as well as examination techniques. But to master a language is far more enjoyment as a life long achievement.
I hope students would use Mandarin in their real life no only just on the lessons. There are plenty way of practice with the such great resources over the net or chatting. I hope that I could be great assistance for you progress to master Mandarin as a life-long skill.
