English (Foreign Language)
I have taught English for over 20 years and gained a lot of experience along the way. At the moment I am helping students prepare for the new style English GCSE. I have two teenage children a golden retriever and a very fat cat called Fluffy. I have lived in quite a few different countries and have lots of experience teaching different nationalities.
I work part time for a leading airline as cabin crew.
I love travel, and volunteering - I often go to help children in Nairobi. Any spare time I have I can be found walking my dog and taking my children to swimming, gokarting, dancing, music lessons etc etc etc.
I teach up to GCSE English and have knowledge of poetry, Macbeth, Lord of the Flies, Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde , An Insoector Calls and A Christmas Carol. I know the new GCSE specifications and how marks are awarded For students whose first language is not English, I teach conversation English, Business English, English for exams and job interviews and children's English. I have taught in Japan, Singapore, Italy and MoscowI gained the top grade in my teaching qualification, only attainable by 1% of teachers.
I have a gentle approach which is intuitive and student based There is no greater joy for me than seeing my students grow in confidence and pass their exams. Every student is different so I treat every student as an individual and adapt my lessons to suit my students' learning styles and requirements. I have two bi lingual children and so I know the challenges and joys of language learning.

I will be sending this to the administrators.
My son was struggling with his English Language GCSE. In September 2017 Viv Kindly agreed to Tutor Harry for an hour every week until his exams this year in June 2018. I found Viv to be empathetic, knowledgeable and completely trustworthy. She was always willing to be flexible with lesson timings and worked him hard often dishing out homework.
Today we received the fabulous news that he achieved a grade 5 pass and in his own words he could not have done it without Viv. She knows the syllabus and exam criteria so was able to focus Harry preparing him for the exam.
Thank you so much and we will keep you posted on Harry's achievements.
Archie is very happy to have his tutorials with Vivienne , he has found them very useful and informative .
She has a very serene n approachable personality which made it really easy for me to confide in her , my fears about "English " as a foreign language .
In first class itself she understood that my problem was not knowing the language but lack of confidence in speaking it .
She tried to boost my confidence in all the three classes I took
She herself suggested in the third lesson that I should join some book club so as to gain confidence rather than to come to her as that would help me more .
She guided me correctly not thinking of money she could have easily made by having more lessons with me . That's what I found really commendable , that for Vivienne it's not just about money
It's more about guiding the tutee in the right direction.
I would highly recommend her as a tutor as she is professional and at the same time very very understanding , patient and righteous in her approach .
