Teaching and learning are my passions, and I love to share them with others, whether it is in Languages, Psychology or other Social Sciences.
I believe learning is a never ending process and teaching is one of the ways I learn everyday, while helping others improve themselves and their lives.
I am a BPS Graduate Member with a Clinical Psychology degree and a Social and Organisational Psychology Master degree, alongside many other training courses.
Since 2007 I`ve worked as Languages and Education consultant, providing tutoring, translations and other academic support tasks.
I have an excellent English level, including written and spoken, as well as a Level 5 Teaching English as a Foreign Language course alongside with research and training certifications or experience.
I believe learning is a never ending process and teaching is one of the ways I learn everyday, while helping others improve themselves and their lives. I believe every student is different and therefore the approach should be different, considering their personal skills, their needs, study skills and goals.
I aim to provide a bespoke service that fulfills the student's needs whether online or face to face, including when necessary continuous support via email and availability at weekends for urgent deadlines. I provide online tutoring via Skype or other chats but when it comes to face to face sessions you can be assured of a good location, close to public transports and possibility of parking.

I am an Undergraduate in Portuguese so we had weekly lessons throughout my fourth year at University. Each lesson would be tailored to my needs. We would go over anything that I was struggling with, or anything that she noticed I could work on, which I thought was useful and something that is hard to find in a tutor I found. We practised every aspect of the language and she was always great at clearing up any questions. She helped me so much and was able to give me much more attention than my tutors at Uni. Couldn’t recommend her enough if you want to learn Portuguese!
Like I wrote in my email to you responding to your inability to take up the tutoring arrangement due to personal tragedy. I do commiserate with you and feel so sorry to hear this. Please accept my heartfelt concern.
I shall be making another request and hope I'll get someone else to do the teaching.
I rate her very highly based on her prompt responses while arrangement was on. It is unfortunate the unexpected happened.
Thank you Virginia!
This is just a short message to say I have your contact details, thank you,I have also sent a email straight to you hopefully you have received it,I understand that you are on Xmas brake but hopefully will be able to speak to you this week.
All correspondence has been clear and concise .
Although I have only had 2 lessons so far they have been thoughtfully planned and interesting .
