Qualified Teacher with excellent subject knowledge of Mathematics and Physics.
I enjoy teaching ALL modules (including Mechanics and Statistics) for AS Level Maths, A Level Maths and Further Maths as well as preparation for AEA and STEP papers in Maths.
I have also studied Physics to Ph.D. level and have delivered tutorials to undergraduates and tutored many students in A Level Physics as well as preparation for PAT exams.
Have been tutoring for over twenty-five years with much success.
I have also taught Maths in various schools and Physics and Statistics in a F.E. college.
During my postgraduate studies I also delivered tutorials to undergraduates and marked their assignments and practical reports.
I teach each student on their individual needs and tailor my approach accordingly and collaboratively.
In general firstly I will assess their subject knowledge. Then I will fill in the gaps and make sure they have an overall understanding of the subject content and are able to apply this to answering questions in the correct manner (using logical reasoning and appropriate language). Only once they have mastered this do I start concentrating on exam technique and past papers.
