I am a qualified SEN/SEMH teacher who brings a wealth experience to the students. I also work with mainstream students and enhance their learning.

I believe in making a difference, I'm very passionate about getting the student through their education. I deliver and teach lessons how I would like my 3 children to be taught (I have twins who are 16 years old and a younger son who is 13 years old. I also feel I have a empathic side and this allows me to get on level with the student.

Every student is a challenge and I always rise to these challenges. I have a wealth of experience and I am able to adapt to new environments.

Success rate, this year 98% of my students achieved 9's and 8's and 2% achieved 7's and 6's.

I use my psychology background to boost the students wellbeing and then concentrate on the subject.

As a teacher/tutor it is important we ensure our children are given the right tools to help them progress within the classroom setting. This maybe building their confidence, opening their social circle and challenging and stretching the student’s abilities.

I currently cater for students who have the following: -

• Exam preparation – using the exam boards techniques in mainsteam and SEN schools
• Learning deficits, such as Dyspraxia, Dyslexia and Autism,
• SEMH students (with or without EHCP),
• Student’s with English as a second Language (ESOL)
• Student’s who need challenging in order to see their full potential
• I also have experience working with Virtual School, Inclusions and SEND Teams at various County Councils

• I reinforce the student’s memory (repetition), this ensures the student is able to retain the new skills they have learned and link it to the their classroom experience.

• Creating a confident and fearless student and moving the student onto the next academic level, furthermore this also gives the student life-long skills to ensure I prepare them for their exams; albeit SAT’s, 11+ or their GCSE’s.

• GCSE students, I teach students using the exam board techniques, thus ensuring the student does not feel isolated and confused when they first open their mock or GCSE exam paper for the very first time.

In addition I believe in Maslow's ‘Hierarchy Needs’
giving all students an equal opportunity, thus building on
their self-esteem/confidence, which leads to academic rewards.

I have a BA Hons in Psychology and Criminal Behaviour, PGCE - Further Education and I'm working towards my Masters.

Free consultation - this enables me to find out about the students weaknesses and strengths.

1:1 Approach offers expert, customised one-on-one tutoring solutions for the student.

I also offer students who've a low self esteem and who are unlikely to self motivate themselves an opportunity to join my group sessions, these are situated in the library offices. These sessions have proven to be successful in the past i'm currently starting these again, in addition this allows the students to bounce one another. I highly rate small group learning, interacting with other students helps boost morale. Flip charts and interactive white boards are used throughout these sessions.
