I love maths, art and teaching.
Even though I have been teaching over 20 years it is still my favourite thing to do.
When I am not working I like being outside either drawing, walking or in my garden. Science lockdown I have taken an interest in growing plants and vegetables, it is still very much hit and miss though.
I practice mindfulness regularly and living in the present as well as yoga to keep my body from freezing up.
I have been teaching over 20 years. From primary school level to students at university preparing to teach themselves.
I have been tutoring full time for the last eight years and specialise in finding the problem areas so students make the most progress and gain the most confidence.
I teach in a growing spiral. Teaching topics where the student is struggling and then build on that over each session. Teaching in a spiral means the student regularly revisits topics questioned in a slightly different way. This also helps with exam question practice.
