I am a bi-lingual French/English qualified teacher Registered with the GTC and hold a current DBS.
Prior to teaching, I worked in mental health as a therapist with young people and adults.
I have worked with children, teenagers within primary and secondary schools as a teacher, and with all ages, from 4 to adults, as a private tutor, from my home and offices.
French : I have experience of exam preparation (CEE/GCSE/DELF/AS/A/BA), as well as general conversational French.
English and Mathematics : I have experience in exam preparation (CEE/GCSE), and a particular interest in working with students struggling to access the curriculum. I am also experienced in working with special needs in literacy and numeracy (Dyslexia/ADD/ ADHD/Autism) in both schools and my home. I have just completed a level 2 specialism in dyscalculia.
I am happy to tailor the tutoring to meet the individual needs of the pupil. I love my subjects and so emphasise enjoyment, practice and homework; the latter two are essential to progression and the first for an enjoyable lesson.
I tutor at my own home or online in a dedicated very well resourced room or online. Parents are welcome to stay for half hour during the first session. I also tutor online via Skype, WhatsApp or FaceTime.
