My education at Oxford, UCL and Royal Holloway has been thorough and I have a working knowledge of a broad range of classic and contemporary literature and the history, use and theory of the English language. In addition, I have continued to pursue my own education, which I view as a life-long process. Having completed a second MA in Creative Writing, I am now working on my PhD alongside teaching.
I currently teach English in a prestigious independent school in London three days per week and teach a weekly creative writing seminar at a respected University.
I have sixteen years of teaching experience, including four years of teaching in IB schools. I currently teach the Edexcel A level English Literature and the IGCSE English Literature and Language, and have experience with a broad range of boards. I have also tutored Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level students extensively over the past eight years.
I am experienced at helping to stretch and challenge the most able learners, while identifying those who need further support and enabling them to achieve their very best. I can help students whose aim is to broaden and deepen their appreciation of English, as well as those who need extra guidance to achieve the best results they can.
