Tim was a superb tutor who explained concepts clearly, built confidence and transformed my brother's understanding of Maths and preparation for A level. It was apparently the first time Tim had taught a pupil who made the leap from foundation tier at GCSE to the full A level in maths but my brother made amazing leaps of progress with Tim's help. We shall always be grateful for Tim's help. He was very professional in keeping me informed about my brother's progress and in sending homework and occasional reports on progress and I believe he has made a real difference to a young person's chance of achieving his academic and life goals.

Although Tim got on well with my son we felt that the tuition style did not suit him. Tim used white board so no notes to go over were not available to him. In fact whilst with Tim his grades went down. There were however some parts that James was taught that were useful at times. Although no homework set. Always told he was an A grade student but this was not to be realised. We felt that the new curriculum in maths there was lack of understanding here.
Overall to charge £40 an hour was not an investment in our sons education. We have now found another tutor.

'When Maria started with Tim her confidence and understanding needed to improve. He quickly developed a very positive working relationship which had an impact on her understanding of Mathematics which directly helped her in lessons and with school assessments. She was at the point of being asked to take Foundation Mathematics but with Tim's help a significant improvement was seen which resulted in her being a secure Higher student. Maria intends taking business studies with mathematics at A-level. We feel she is well on her way to building the solid foundations for fantastic GCSE success in Mathematics and beyond to A-level. We truly wouldn't know what to do without Tim's great support and also tremendous sense of humour'

We are very pleased with the positive effect Tim has had on our son's confidence and abilities in Maths. From the very first session Tim created an environment whereby my shy son has felt comfortable to ask questions and bring topics which he found difficult to grasp in lesson. Although Tim's initial assessment identified the ideal focus of their work together he has continued to be flexible with what they work on in each session and ensure they keep returning to his key goal, namely answering exam questions. We know Cameron is, at times, a reluctant student however, Tim's warmth and humour seems to lift Cameron's spirits and allow him to believe in own abilities. Thank you, Tim.

I have just achieved a B in A level maths. I got a D in my mocks at Christmas but 3 months of tuition with Tim gave me great confidence and really improved my understanding. I would recommend Tim to anyone who wants to make the most of their potential in Maths.

We feel very lucky to have found Tim. Tim is supportive, encouraging and has lots of empathy. Although we have only had a few lessons so far, Tim seems to be just the right person for my grandson, who was getting demotivated and falling behind with his maths at school. As a result, we feel much more positive about his chances of success in maths at school.

Tim quickly developed a positive working relationship with Tom, our son. His excellent subject knowledge and clear explanations have boosted Tom’s confidence and accuracy in Mathematics. This has resulted in dramatic improvements in his grades. Thom has gone from an E to a B in just 6 weeks. We are confident that with Tim’s support Tom will be able to push on to an A and then an A* in Year 13.
