Personal Description:

I have recently been awarded a Distinction-level Master's degree from Imperial College London in Science Communication and also hold an honours-level BSc from the same university.

I have sat nearly 60 exams all the way through from the 11+ to postgraduate level! As such I am well very well versed in the 'exam process'. I am happy to tutor on a variety of subjects to GCSE level and Biology (my Undergraduate degree) to A-level.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had several tutoring roles from entrance exams, through GCSE and all the way to undergraduate level. This has allowed me to understand that tutoring is not just an exercise in rote learning, but also in installing confidence in the tutee so that they might tackle an exam with much more certainty. Aside from this I have had a number of work placements in schools which has allowed me to better understand the education system in general.

Tutoring Approach:

As a child I had a number of tutors and I believe that I would not have been nearly as academically minded had it not been for their input and guidance. Tutoring allowed me to look at exams as opportunities, rather than potential bear-traps. This is a mentality I try to install in all of my tutees.

If you don't get along with your tutor it's unlikely that anything productive is going to be achieved. I try to approach tutees as easy-going and patient, with the understanding that in some cases students need a gentle push to succeed. I am extremely committed to my students and try my upmost to get the grades I think can be achieved.
