Guten Tag und Hallo!
I was born and raised in Austria and moved to the UK in 2014 after finishing my Teacher Training in Vienna. I am fully qualified in Austria and the UK and also completed an MA at Chester University in Creative Practices in Education. As you can guess by now, my first language is German.

Tutoring Experience

I am a qualified primary school teacher (qualified in Austria and the UK) and also have a Masters Degree in Creative Practices in Education. I am a tutor for over 10 years now.

Tutoring Approach

My approach highly depends on you! Therefore, my approach is to tailor my lessons to your needs and your learning styles. It sometimes takes a bit of time to find out how you learn best and also what your aims are - and they will quite likely change while we work together on them. This is one of the reasons why I never charge for the first lesson, as it will be all about getting to know each other and to find out what you are looking for and how you have best learned in the past. Once we met up, I will start planning lessons for you. This is of course also important if this is not for you, but for one of your children. My youngest students (5 years) to my oldest students (over 70) naturally have different aims. With young children I prefer a more "hands-on" approach, e.g. rather than teaching them words about vegetables, we go into the garden, plant some vegetables, label them in the garden, draw them, cook with them - all this in German. They won't ever forget how to plant, harvest and then make Karotten-Suppe.
Adults, from my experience, often have a specif aim. Some already have a good vocab knowledge, but struggle with grammar, some just want to be able to talk in German as quickly as possible, others looking to move to Germany and want to get a certificate recognised in Germany. Whatever it is you are looking for, we can work on it together.
