I am a teacher of Mathematics and currently working in a secondary school in Croydon. I am a highly motivated and skilled graduate with a First class honours degree in Mathematics with Engineering. I have completed PGCE and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) over 20 years ago.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 20 years teaching experience working in independent, grammar and state schools in Croydon, Sutton and Southwark boroughs.

I have taught GCSE Maths (EDEXCEL & AQA), GCSE Further Maths (AQA), GCSE Additional Maths (OCR), GCSE Statistics (EDEXCEL), accelerated GCSE in year 10, AS and A Level Mathematics (EDEXCEL & MEI). I was in charge of Mathematics at Key Stage 5 and Second in charge of department in Croydon Schools.

I have excellent knowledge of marking EDEXCEL GCSE, GCE and IGCSE syllabus’ requirement since 2005. Every year I mark Key stage 2 Mathematics SATs examination papers and Key stage 4 Mathematics EDEXCEL GCSE and IGCSE examination papers in England.

This has helped develop my marking and assessment techniques of examination papers. This marking experience has allowed me to give regular feedback to my pupils about the common mistakes and misconceptions pupils make whilst answering questions. As such, students learn how to understand examinations requirements in order to achieve maximum marks.
