I graduated from UCL with the highest marks in my year in my Biological Sciences masters, specialised in Zoology. I was awarded the Francis Perch Bedford Prize and received a scholarship to start my PhD in Environmental Policy at Imperial College London in 2021. I achieved straight As at A-Level (2A*s and 2As) and GCSE (9A*s 1A) and I want to help you achieve the same! My master's research project was nominated for the ZSL's Charles Darwin Award and Marsh Prize and I am currently in the process of writing my second research paper, which I hope will be published in Nature as a major breakthrough in the field.

Apart from tutoring, I have been involved in environmental education and campaigns for many charities including the Wildlife Trust and Friends of the Earth. I am involved in the TB badger vaccination programme in Oxfordshire and enjoy cycling around the countryside in my free time. Having previously run educational conservation workshops at UCL, I could provide opportunities for my students to take part in university research if they want! I have travelled across South America, North America and Africa, so I like to teach my students about conservation and ecology around the world.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience as a teaching assistant for a year at a primary school. I've also led educational workshops and projects on biodiversity and conservation for a range of audiences. Recently, I've led an environmental education project, which will soon be taught in school overseas. I've also had experience mentoring and helping peers with work throughout school and my degree. Currently, I am working as a teaching assistant at First Class Learning and at Imperial alongside my PhD.

Tutoring Approach

I am very flexible and enjoy shaping the learning experience around the student. For example, I am happy to provide notes for each topic and worksheets following each session, if that's helpful for the student. I also support my students by discussing study skills to help them make the most of their time outside of tutoring. I am keen to present learning materials in new and engaging ways, which helps keep the sessions enjoyable. I've benefitted from such a broad array of teaching styles throughout my education and I want to make learning for you as much fun as it was for me.
