Hi there! My name is Tamanna and I have been working as a primary school teacher for the past 5 years. During this time, I have been tutoring students online during the pandemic and will be continuing online tuition this year. Please get in touch if you are keen for your child to study via online tuition. My students and parents for 2022-23 have really enjoyed this since it saves time on commuting and allows the child to study at a place and time suitable for them.

I have also graduated from the University of Warwick with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2017. At A-level, I studied maths, further maths, chemistry and physics. After being awarded QTS, I gained a Master's from UCL in Education and Technology, having been awarded Distinctions in my modules. Therefore, I believe I am thoroughly skilled in teaching people online for efficiency and maximum benefit to the learners.

Additionally, I am currently the Gifted and Talented lead for 4 schools so I believe I know how to identify excellence and cultivate a warm and inviting learning environment. I am a passionate teacher and I want nothing more than for my learners to excel in their chosen subject so I will use a range of tactics in order to make this happen.

Tutoring Experience

Since September 2018, I have helped children revise for the 11+, 13+ and GCSE exams for entry into prestigious schools in the country. If you would like this service, I am more than happy to guide you as early exposure to the style of questions is key. It is more important than ever that you get the right help for your children in order to help them in the best way possible therefore we can work together to create a bespoke learning plan beyond the hour that I will spend with your child.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is simple: ask any questions and I will try best to clarify any misunderstandings. I like my students to be honest with they do and do not know. It is the only way I am able to tackle the misconceptions in order to help the students excel and succeed in their studies.

I have a very unique teaching style as I adapt this to the requirements of my students. I have experience of working with different needs and creating suitable resources for abilities in a classroom. I will take time to understand the clients' need to ensure a bespoke learning can take place.

In the first session together, I will aim to gauge what needs to be taught based on the outcome that you would like. Together, we will create an action plan and weekly plan to ensure we stay on target. I anticipate that you will be informed at all times of what can be done outside of these tuition sessions to make effective use of your time.

If there is something in particular you require help with, you are encouraged to let me know as soon as possible so we can work on this in ample time for upcoming exams.

As I like to dedicate time to my tutees, I have a limited number of slots on the weekends to provide support. Therefore, do not hesitate to get into contact to ensure there is enough time to support you or your child.
