I enjoy working with different people and sharing my language skills. I am a very flexible person and I love languages. Apart from teaching I have a background in writing/ journalism and translation.
I have been teaching Spanish since 2005. I teach groups and individuals at all levels, from total beginners to proficiency level, teaching general, academic and Spanish for specific purposes, including advance writing skills. I help to prepare students for various exams (GCSE, AS, ALevels, OCR, Dele, etc). At Goldsmith University I have given several teacher training sessions on how to teach languages for business purposes, within the Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults (CTLA). I also worked as a part-time tutor at Kensington and Chelsea College for three years where I was also an examiner.
I think motivation is very important in facilitating learning, specially regarding languages. That is why I always try to create a relax atmosphere and focus in students needs, goals and learning styles. I normally assess the level of the students, their goals, and then decide the course contents and materials to use and monitor their progress. I used a range of different methods and materials with plenty of visual aids and practice. Learning a language should be fun.
