Sumuhan

I'm a Software Engineer by profession, but I possess a deep passion for teaching Maths and Physics. I firmly believe that mastery in these subjects is readily achievable with the right teaching approach. I'm convinced that every student can not only understand but also love these disciplines when taught appropriately. Time and again, whenever given the opportunity, I've demonstrated this belief in practice.

Tutoring Experience

For over three decades, I've had the privilege of instructing a diverse group of students with a wide range of abilities, and each experience has been truly rewarding. Even though I now work full-time, my commitment to tutoring remains, as I continue to offer sessions during the evenings and on weekends.

Tutoring Approach

One of the primary challenges students face with Maths and Physics is an incomplete grasp of foundational concepts. Pinpointing and rectifying this issue can be transformative, turning sentiments from 'I hate maths!' to 'I love Maths!'. Ensuring that my students have a firm understanding of the basics is always a priority.

Another prevalent hurdle is the absence of consistent practice. Mastering these subjects parallels skills like swimming or cycling; proficiency improves with repetition. Once I'm confident in their comprehension, I emphasize the importance of solving an ample number of problems. This approach not only bolsters their confidence but also equips them well for examinations.

Moreover, I believe that learning should be captivating. Unfortunately, many students find Maths and Physics monotonous. I constantly innovate, tying lessons to relatable real-world scenarios and intriguing examples. I'm in the process of creating an interactive educational software, enriched with animations and graphics, aiming to inject fun into learning. I envision incorporating this tool into my teaching methodology for all my students in the imminent future.
