Information About James Stuart - Preston tutor
This is how 2 referees rated James Stuart:
Hi my name is Stuart and I'm a professional acting, voice, speech and English teacher. I trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where I achieved an MA and a MFA in Voice Studies and as a specialist English teacher at the University of Leeds. I have massive experience in acting, voice and speech coaching and have taught at many of the UK's top drama schools where many of the students have gone on to have careers in the world of performance. I am also the Senior Examiner in Speech and Drama for VCM Exams and an examiner for EDEXCEL A level Drama and Theatre Studies. I was awarded Honorary Fellowship from VCM Exams for my work with them and Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts for my work as a Voice Coach. I also have many years experience in teaching English Language and Literature at GCSE level within secondary schools and colleges.
I'm a teacher who wants my students to do brilliantly - and they always do. I started teaching in the early 1990's in a small Theatre School and soon after became an External Examiner for the Central School. I then trained as a Drama and English Teacher at Bretton Hall University College Leeds and taught Drama GCSE and A Level Drama in a secondary school before moving to a college to become their Team Manager for the Performing Arts Department. If you would like to develop any areas of your performance, be it speech, acting, public speaking, vocal development, I can certainly help you out. If you would like to take examinations in Acting or Speech we can do that - over the last 6 years all my students have achieved 'Honours' for their examination performances. I have also been voice coach for productions at the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.
I'm a teacher with a sense of humour and I always make students feel really comfortable in the work we are doing. I am a professional in every aspect of my work - I'm organised and ready to help you succeed in what you want, I do it with a smile and bring many years of experience to the lessons.
