Personal Description:

Hello, I am a fully qualified and very experienced professional science teacher and tutor. I understand that leaning one-to-one can be daunting for some students but you will find me both friendly and patient. I have a strong academic background (Master of Science) and from my many years in teaching a deep understanding of Science, and how students can misunderstand it. These strengths together with my excellent tried and tested teaching skills have been very successful in allowing me to tutor young people and help them improve their grades at KS3, GCSE and A level.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a fully qualified and enthusiastic teacher with nearly 10 years experience as a classroom teacher. I have taught in several different schools and across all secondary Key Stages, from KS3 through GCSE to A level. I have also been head of A level Physics. I am an experienced tutor who has helped students make significant progress and improve their grades.

Tutoring Approach:

Science is fun, and learning it should be engaging and interesting too. When tutoring, I seeks to uncover a student's weaknesses and then help them to improve whilst enjoying the process of learning.

Being a professional teacher means that I have a deep understanding of:
* The subject.
* Specifically what needs to be learnt for your exam (the specification).
* Different teaching and learning techniques to help young people learn.
Many tutors are not qualified teachers and cannot provide ALL of the above - there is a big difference between understanding the subject and being able to teach it effectively… Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, whether you choose me as your tutor or not I wish you good luck !
