I'm a fully qualified, experienced teacher who has worked at a variety of schools, both comprehensives and grammars. My degree and training are in the Mathematical side of Physics, so I am extremely strong in both A-level Physics and Maths, and love teaching the subjects to willing students.
I'm an experienced Physics and Maths teacher, and have run departments in schools for many years now. As well as GCSE I particularly like A-level teaching, both in Physics, Maths, and Further Maths. I have been a head of Physics for 5 years, head of A-level Maths since 2017, and have also been Head of Science and Assistant Head of 6th Form, responsible for the UCAS process, and Russell Group and Oxbridge admissions.
I also have lots of experience in assisting students with applications to Oxbridge and other Russell Group Universities, including personal statement advice, practice interviews, and entrance examinations. Large numbers of my former students have gone on to top Universities to study Physics, Maths, Astronomy or Engineering.
I will work with a student before we meet to identify which areas need work, and how to go about fixing whatever problems there might be.
I tailor my tuition to whatever the student needs, whether that means me teaching the course from scratch, helping students with exam technique by guiding them while they answer questions, or whatever else is required.
