Recently retired, I am married with three children (all graduate linguists) and now bilingual grandchildren. I have a wide range of interests and a lot of contacts at home and abroad. I am past Chairman of the Bury St Edmunds/Compiègne town twinning association and in 2016 was awarded the Lidice Memorial Medal for work in the Czech Republic.
I have taught languages in nursery school, at primary level, in secondary schools and to adults in industry. Until recently Head of Sixth Form at Thetford Grammar School, I am now available for daytime/evening lessons most days. My pupils enjoy their lessons as much as I do.
With 20 years experience, I am adept in preparing candidates for their examinations and have an excellent record of success with my 1:1 tutees.
I quickly identify the best approach with individual learners and then design their lessons around these needs and particular areas of interest.
I am also interested in corporate challenges, for example preparing personnel for relocation after mergers and acquisitions.
