Sophia

Miss King is an experienced and effective primary school teacher who has worked in education for over ten years. She has a PGCE and QTS, and also a First Class bachelors degree. She is passionate about teaching, and loves passing her enthusiasm for learning onto her pupils.

Tutoring Experience

Miss King has teaching experience in both state and independent schools, working with pupils in KS2. She is currently a Year 4 teacher in an independent school, and before this she was a Year 5 and 6 teacher, giving her much experience of formal examinations such as 11+, SATS and common entrance exams.

Tutoring Approach

Miss King works on well-paced, small steps approach in order that a deep and solid understanding is developed. Her goal is to build a child’s confidence, independence, problem solving and reasoning skills - and to most of all, ensure her pupils enjoy learning. Miss King uses a mixture of different teaching styles: visual, auditory, kinaesthetic and reading.
