I am a researcher at the University of Edinburgh currently pursing a PhD in Optical Medical Imaging whereby I design agents in aid in the surgical removal of Glioblastomas.
I have had experience assisting in school learning as well as 1st and 2nd year undergrad biology teaching through various study sessions at university. More recently, I have tutored 50+ students studying for their National 5/Higher/Advanced Higher exams.
I feel that having sat SQA standard grade and higher exams only a few years ago, I am able to deliver ways to learn that are easy to understand. I believe that learning should be made fun as it enjoying a subject makes it so much easier to retain information. I have been fortunate enough to have had great teachers and lecturers and hope that I can help other learn about science. I especially enjoy aspect of human biology that relate to biomedicine, however I am comfortable in all aspects of biology and chemistry.
