I’m a fourth year medical student at University of Birmingham and I’m dedicated to supporting others with their studies. I achieved A*A*A at A level in Biology, Maths and Chemistry, as well as only grades 9 and 8 in GCSE subjects, including Maths, English and Science. I believe I have a very clear understanding of how to achieve top grades in these subjects.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 4 years experience as a tutor. I started tutoring students for GCSE biology during my time in sixth form and then I later became a Maths and English tutor for students aged 8-16.

I have been privately tutoring in a wide range of subjects since January 2023 and I am proud to have very positive reviews from my tutees and their parents. I am always receptive of feedback as I strive to provide the best service as possible.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching is to encourage students to trust their knowledge and then help them to build their skills. I believe it’s important for students to have confidence in their abilities as this will allow them to succeed. I always try to explain concepts in a way that is tailored to the student as everyone has different learning styles.

The first tuition session will always involve a form of assessment so I can understand what level the tutee is learning at and which teaching strategies I need to use for future sessions.
