Information About Simon - Exeter tutor - (7 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Simon:
I am a professional school teacher of Mathematics. PhD and BSc (Honours) degrees from University of Exeter. Specialist teacher of GCSE Mathematics, with particular expertise in helping students reach their full potential in GCSE exams.
11 years of full-time professional teaching at KS3 and KS4 (2006 to present). Additional experience in 1:1 tutoring in GCSE Mathematics and A-level Physics, in addition to degree level tutoring during my PhD.
I have a calm and supportive approach to teaching. When tutoring a student for their GCSE exams, I use GCSE past papers as a starting point to quickly identify areas of strength and weakness, and to make rapid progress with the topics that will improve GCSE performance and maximise the student's grade. I have particular skill with making topics accessible to students, and practical examples to clearly understand the mathematical principles at work. I have a proven track record of helping students reach their potential and achieve grades that seemed out of reach before we started our lessons together.

Just got James' results for his Maths GCSE resit - so pleased to tell you he passed with a 4. No question that your tutoring made all the difference. Thanks so much.
Very best wishes.

Aug 2015. Simons support has been above and beyond expectations, he also helped my daughter with an extra lesson between exams to work on the predicted paper. Simon thanks to you Holly raised her game from a C/D and achieved a B GCSE! We are eternally grateful for your help and this has secured Holly's place in college and will ultimately be of great significance securing her uni place.
Thank you Simon
