I am a part time private tutor at the moment and have tutored over 30 students across tutoring platforms with a combined teaching time of over 600 hours.

Patient and engaging tutor. Recent Master's graduate (MSc) from Imperial College London. High achieving individual with a strong maths and physics background with a passion for STEM subjects. Recently completed my masters (grade distinction) in MSc Advanced Aeronautical engineering from Imperial college London (ranked 2nd in the UK for Aerospace engineering). I also have a BEng degree (grade First class hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham. In addition to helping with tutoring core subjects, I can provide strong advice for the pathway to universities and the application process.

My passion for STEM is reflected by my role as a STEM ambassador. I have organised trips into local schools to promote engineering and the importance of STEM to pupils.

I was awarded winner of the UK university STEM awards in 2018 for the defence category run by BAE Systems. other achievements include securing a summer internship at Rolls-Royce in 2017 in the civil aerospace department and serving as president of the 'Engineers without Borders' society at univeristy, the aim of the organisation was to promote green energy technologies as well as organising trips abroad to aid in work to improve local peoples lives. I took part in a trip to Ghana in 2016.

I also hold a Gold Duke of Edinburgh award.

I have found tutoring incredibly fulfilling and a real pleasure. You can count on me to try my best in helping any student, no matter the ability to understand any concept.

%What tutoring experience do you have?%

I am a part private tutor at the moment with over 600 hours of tutoring experience.

I regularly helped tutor my peers during univeristy to help them understand complex concepts. I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students. I have the advantage of being fresh through the curriculum and understanding the key concepts that students need to grasp in order to succeed.

I am also very experienced at sitting exams so this means I understand how to do well in exams and the key skills associated with exams. I Have taken roughly 74 exams in total with high grades in almost all of them.

%What is your approach to tutoring?%

I am a very patient and engaging tutor who students enjoy learning from. My approach is to learn through doing. I think it is incredibly important to teach someone a particular concept and then cement that knowledge by doing questions which are similar to exam questions. This approach is by far the most efficient in my opinion and has served me well through my academic studies. Making mistakes while attempting to answer difficult questions is perfectly fine to me as I believe this is when your brain is most likely to learn. For me, not making mistakes shows you are not challenging yourself enough.
