I'm a Mum to two young boys with my fellow teacher husband and am at the start of a year-long sabbatical, during which time I'll be delivering babywearing dance lessons to local parents and generally taking a break to experience and enjoy life outside of the classroom!

Tutoring Experience

I have taught in various different settings, including three years at a mixed 11-18 school and now nearly 8 years in my present school, an 11-16 girls' school, which has journeyed from Special Measures through to Outstanding, maintaining this rating for our last two inspections. I have experience of teaching all year groups from 7 to 13, as well as of a range of different abilities, including EAL and SEND students.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in a student-centred approach which adapts to the learning needs of the individual and offers an engaging, positive experience of the subject, with a clear trajectory for progress and regular opportunities to reflect on this together.
