I am a graduate from the University of Bath where I studied a BSc in Sport Performance (2.1 grade) and a Graduate from Leeds Metropolitian University where I studied an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition (Merit grade). I am a qualified high performance sport nutritionist (SENr registered), and have worked for premiership rugby and football clubs, as well as a private consultant.
I am a qualified secondary physical education teacher and teach up to KS5 with practical and theory classes. I am currently working in a large co education secondary school.
I was a professional athlete having been part of the Great Britain Athletics team in the heptathlon, and a member of the Great Britain Bobsleigh team.
I studied German, Human Biology and Physical Education to A-level and continued to further education in the area of Sport and Exercise Science.
I am 26 years old, female, very patient, hard-working, dedicated, outgoing, bright and always aim to bring enjoyment to learning.
I have worked as an teaching assistant in the St.Laurence school in Bradford on Avon, as well as working at the Thomas Hardye school in Dorchester, Budmouth school and Wey Valley school in Weymouth; and at Glenmoor and Winton academy in Bouremouth. Additionally I have experience working in British International schools.
I have also worked as a student ambassador linked to the University of Bath and Leeds Metropolitan University, working with children aged 6-18 to develop their learning skills and subject knowledge, and well as to prepare them for university.
I am currently available to tutor students in Sport/PE and Biology. I also working for the Youth Sport Trust delivering projects to motivate, inspire and encourage children to make the most of their lives.
I am very aware that each child has different learning styles, so will use the appropriate tools needed to ensure quality learning is achieved. I employ a logistical and practical approach to setting tutoring tasks, and link teaching to scenarios/questions that associate feelings, emotions, and practical examples as I have found this to be very successful for exam preparation.
Additionally I always make sure I give my students comprehensive proof reading and checking time for essays or exam preparation.
