I am a mother with a 19 year old daughter. I understand the effects of dyslexia on a child. My brother is severely dyslexic, but doing very nicely working for an American Bank....dyslexia need not hold a child back. Look at Richard Branson and Jamie Oliver, both successful dyslexics.

Tutoring Experience

I qualified at the Helen Arkell Dyselxia Centre, Farnham. Level 3 Teaching Children with Specific Learning Difficulties. I have worked in a number of local schools, providing one to one support for children with a wide range of learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyspraxia, discalculia and ADHD.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to build self esteem, to encourage a child's strengths and work on their weaknesses by finding their preferred learning style, in a visual, auditory or kinaesthetic way. Making lessons enjoyable, where mistakes are allowed in a relaxed setting.
I prefer to work with a child during the school day, in their secure learning environment. I am available for both face to face and online tuition Monday to Saturday(am only), during the school day and after school. Depending on your location I maybe able to offer some Learning Support in the holidays.
