I have a first class degree and PhD in mathematics and am tremendously enthusiastic about the subject.
I love helping others to understand more and make mathematics accessible to everyone.
Most of my free time is spent with my family – trying to keep my young son entertained!

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as a teacher for over ten years in a sixth form college. This has given me huge experience in how to help students achieve their potential.
I have taught of a wide variety of mathematics courses, to students of all levels of ability.
Over the last decade I have helped a great many students through GCSE maths. I have successfully aided many students, helping them get the grade they need to progress to A-levels, apprenticeships or work.
I have taught A level Maths and Further Maths every year for the last decade – many of my students have gone on to Oxford, Cambridge and other top universities to study mathematics and related subjects. This has involved preparing candidates for university entrance exams and STEP papers.
In recent years I have provided over 100 students with online tuition, which many find to be a very effective and convenient way of improving their understanding of maths.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is patient and friendly and I encourage students to ask questions. Each week I tailor lessons to the needs of individual student, using my own worksheets, past exam questions or other material appropriate for your needs. I can help improve understanding of topics studied at school and boost confidence to prepare you for exams.
Currently I am only offering online tuition, using Zoom.
