I am a Mathematics graduate from King's College London, and work in finance at the moment. I have been tutoring privately since 2020 but have had experience working in a classroom since 2016. My passion for mathematics is brought across to my students and I will be sure to make maths fun and easy to learn :)
I have been tutoring both GCSE and A Level, with my students getting into their firm choice for uni and excelling in their exams. I have tutored students in the age range of 6 to 16 at Kumon, for almost two years. There, I learnt most of my teaching methods and would sit with students explaining and practising maths with them until they could do questions independently.
Each student learns differently, and each student is at a different level. However, I believe the key to learning mathematics starts at the basics. I work with the students to get the basics down 100%, and make sure there are no gaps in the learning. Once this is done, we work at a fast yet efficient pace, going through questions and examples with me explaining every step separately, until the student can answer questions independently and even explain their own work back to me. This enables the student to get a thorough appreciation of the work they are doing, and enjoy the subject so they will excel in it even more.
