I believe in building confidence and developing a love of learning unique to each student I work with to get the best outcomes.
I have taught in a variety of schools across all ages and ability range.
As well as teaching Science, I have marked SATS, GCSE and A Level papers for the exam boards as an examiner for over fifteen years. This has given me an in depth knowledge of what an examiner is looking for and good exam technique to benefit my students.
I have also tutored students on a one to one basis online for over fifteen years for SATS, GCSE and A level Biology with great success.
Some of my A level students have gone on to do degrees in subjects such as medicine, dentistry, optometry, biomedical sciences, marine biology, pharmacy and pharmacology
Previous tutees have included students, mature students and graduates. Some students have had particularly needs such as home educated students; dyslexic students and students who have missed a lot of school due to personal circumstances.
One graduate completed AS Biology in less than 8 weeks with a 100% success rate in the exams. For A2 Biology, we completed the course in 14 weeks and she achieved an A* grade.
This year's students have achieved fantastic results with 75% of them achieving one or two grades above their predicted target grade. This included a number of A* grades at A level and GCSE.
I offer online tutoring which means I can offer tutoring in the comfort of your own home and anywhere geographically.
Also I offer tutoring from my home or a combination of online and face to face.
With all tutees, I offer support between sessions via text or e mail as I recognise there maybe times when students wish to know something which cannot wait till the next session.
I have a flexible approach to tutoring to suit each individual tutee. It maybe confidence that needs building; knowledge developing further or sorting out exam technique to obtain maximum marks.
Everyone is treated as an individual and I will work with the tutee to maximise their potential in a friendly and easily accessible way

She has helped him to develop his exam skills in order to reach his full potential.
My son appreciates that Sarah is engaging with him throughout the week sending him appropriate material or answering his questions if needs be before the scheduled lesson.
Sarah has left a positive impression from day one. Would strongly recommend her .
Sarah is excellent and has really engaged well with my daughter and is bringing increased structure and focus to her work.
In addition, my daughter is feeling more confident and in greater control as we begin this final crucial year.
She really is a very helpful tutor and I would recommend her to anyone! :)
