I have a first class degree in French and German from the University of Oxford and am a fully qualified teacher, having completed teacher training at the same university. I have worked first as a classroom teacher and now as a private tutor to all age groups and with both small groups and individuals. I am interested in all aspects of French and German language and culture, having spent extensive periods living and working in both countries.
I have experience of teaching all levels and age groups and a wide variety of examinations. I have taught from beginners to university level and to students form a widely varying range of backgrounds. I currently tutor French and German across a wide age range.
I have experience of working with adult learners of all ages and abilities, both for casual learning and in the work place. I have used my language skills in a business (sales) environment, and am happy to tutor French and German for and in the work place.
I have a 'goal' based approach. The first session involves getting to know the student, finding out what their aims are for the tuition and what motivates them to learn. I then tailor all lessons around their individual needs.
