I am a Biochemist. I started my career in St Georges Hospital Medical School London in research.
After starting my family I switched to teaching and have never looked back.
I am the author of 'Comprehensive Practical Biology for A Level'; it is part of the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) recommended book list and is on sale on Amazon. I have also authored the Comprehensive Junior Science textbook series, a set of five books, workbooks and teachers' resource guides for pupils aged 5-11 which is currently being used throughout Pakistan.
My latest publication is 'The Migrants,' my first novel, based on my families harrowing migration from India to Pakistan during the Partition of India and my migration and life in Pakistan and UK.
With my youngest of four off to University, I spend my time tutoring and writing.
Having retired from full-time teaching I concentrate on private tuition and
I have taught GCSE and A Level Biology for nearly twenty years, in prestigious schools such as Mander Portman Woodward and Brampton College, Lansdowne College, London.
I am an A level examiner for Cambridge Board.
I regularly teach Revision Courses and specialize in cramming and teaching exam techniques.
I have tutored students in the group and one to one throughout my teaching career.
I work consistently with perseverance to enthuse my students about biology and allow them to gain confidence and practice in answering relevant exam questions by tailoring my teaching according to the student's needs and ability. I have repeatedly been nominated as the teacher of the year and have an excellent track record.
