This is how 2 referees rated Ruheena:
I am currently a Year 6 Primary School teacher. I was previously working as a Lecturer at a Further Education College/University and also as a daily supply teacher. Prior to this, I was working as Head of Mathematics in a private secondary school. As well as this, I am also an experienced private tutor. I have completed my undergraduate BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and I have completed the Mathematics Enhancement Course as well as my PGCE Initial Teacher Training specialising in Secondary Mathematics at the University of East London.
Ps. Please note, I have said that I teach Arabic, as Qur'an is not available as an option. So please do note that I am teaching the reading of Qur'an with Tajweed and not the Arabic language.
I have approximately eight years teaching experience, from when I started university until present. Initially, I started tutoring voluntarily in order to aid my studies at university and then I began working as a Kumon assistant in a local branch. It was at this point where I realised that teaching is something I thoroughly enjoy and I began doing as a regular routine in any free time I had. I now spend almost all my time teaching either in school as my full-time career or as a private tutor on a one-to-one basis.
I believe it is important to create a comfortable and friendly environment when teaching in order to ensure that both the tutor and the student are able to develop an understanding and enhance the learning process.
