Information About Rosie - Bristol tutor - (10 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Rosie:
I'm a 28 year old Mathematics graduate from Bristol University. I spent my 3rd year abroad, studying maths on a French island off the east coast of Africa, and becoming fluent in French.
I have always loved dogs, and I now have a young collie cross named Dottie. She likes to greet my tutees, and sit for a treat when they arrive!
I have experience teaching all abilities and ages, and a good track record of results, with pupils always attaining or surpassing their targets.
I currently only tutor at my home.
My sessions are relaxed and informal, and closely tailored to the needs of the tutee. Even though we tend to accomplish a lot during a session, tutees always find it an easy and enjoyable way to learn.
In sessions I generally stick quite closely to the course, revisiting the school lessons and homework to target weak areas, whilst also working on a more thorough general understanding. When possible I let the tutee lead the session, so that they get the help they actually need, usually asking a few quick questions on any material skipped over to check for problems, but my teaching methods vary to suit my tutees.

Really pleased we have found her!
My son writes: "Rosie has been an immense help in preparation for my A-Levels. Not only is she friendly and easy to get along with, but was able to analyse where I was failing in maths and help boost not only my technical skill but also my confidence in the subject! I was predicted a B in maths but with the help of Rosie, I was able to achieve an A in my final exam! "
Rosie has been teaching Amber twice a week for just over 10 weeks now and already we have seen a massive improvement in her mock GCSE grades (C to A). Lessons were planned around results from Ambers mocks so areas that required development were worked on as a priority.
Rosie has a natural flair for identifying how her tutees learn and absorb information and subsequently presents her teaching to suit them accordingly. Rosie has made learning fun for Amber and has instilled a greater confidence in her ability to tackle her Maths head on, this in turn has given Amber a hunger to improve further.
As parents we have been so impressed with Rosie that we have already booked her up for next year at A-level. We cannot recommend her highly enough, a truly natural tutor and mentor.
Thank you Rosie, we know Amber looks forward to further lessons with you.
